Happy Veteran's Day for those who don't know. I'm very patriotic for saying this
I've just come back from a three day convention called Model United Nations. What is this? Well, I'll tell ya!
Model UN is sponsored by the YMCA and is a 3 day convention where high school students can go and perform similar tasks to what the actual United Nations does. It is separated into four parts:
International Court of Justices: (IJC) Lawyers present memorials and counter-memorials to a board of justices.
Security Council: (This is what I was in) A group of 15 countries, 5 permanent members and 10 members with two year terms, come together in a small room to discuss matters of international peace and security. The "Big Five," or the permanent members are China, Russia, United States, United Kingdom, and France. I was Libya...
Press Corps: They do all the press releases...duh...
General Assembly: The largest group of all. It contains all UN countries presenting proposals to the UN to help their country or ask for aid in any other situation. It had over 500 people this year O_O
It was the best convention I've been to so far! Plus I got to meet Alfonso Ribiero! If you don't know who that is, he Played Carlton on the 1990s show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Look it up!
This Wednesday I get to do a Military color guard (look it up too if you don't know who I'm talking about) for Veterans at the Nursing Home. I also get to go to our old Middle School to do Military Exhibition in front of the kids (they're amazed by anything).
As for actual school stuff, I need to make up two tests from Friday and make up homework...Not hard at all.
As for dA, I'm trying to build a human OC, so I'll post some sketches later in the month!
Life is going great right now, and, if I allow it, it will be for a long time.
